Short guys and online dating
Sure, it sucks when you meet a person and they’ve somehow dramatically put on fifty pounds in one day. But, as I was swiping left and right looking for a date I remembered how personal ads used to work.
I measured myself the other day, and I found that technically I stand at 5 foot 5 ½ inches. Chase has mention in some articles on this site that I am near 5’3” to 5’5” – I am hurt, butthurt that is, by the inaccuracy... I was supposed to write this article in 2014 – I’m kind of late! He meets girls both on the street during the day and in nightclubs.
I will however add that, if you say you’re looking for 5’8″, you will get responses from guys who say they’re 5’7″, and are actually 5’6″.
But, as long as they’re cool with the height difference, and have good partner qualities, so what?
I didn’t understand the question Chase presented to me. The style he employs is smooth, under-the-radar, "whisper in her ear" sexual direct.
I just didn’t think my height was an issue until I researched it. Writing all these articles on being Asian, short, and introverted has made me somewhat insecure. I guess I’m totally late again, or perhaps I simply forgot about this issue, or maybe I’ve just been too busy living my life...
An article on Jezebel discusses a report from the Atlantic that illustrates that the average height differential between 4600 married American couples was six inches and that the wife was taller in 3.8% of couples.
